A couple of commenters -- in response to the fantasy pieces that have appeared here each of the past two Saturdays -- have noted that their waiver-wire deadlines occur before Saturday, greatly diminishing the relevance of the analysis therein.
So, a question for our readers-cum-fantasy-owners: what's generally the last day of the week on which you're allowed to make waiver-wire pick-ups? Feel free to add any relevant notes in the comments section.
Most leagues I've been in have a Wednesday waiver wire process that gives priority to the worst teams, and then open free agency after that up to kickoff.
ReplyDeleteUp to kickoff of the first game of the week.
ReplyDeleteIn my league you can pick up players up to kickoff of the first game of the week, but it usually takes a day for the waiver to go through. So if the fantasy thing is posted on sat, and i pick up a player on that day, there's a good chance he wont land on my roster til kickoff the next day, at which point its too late to make roster changes.
ReplyDeleteUp until first kickoff, but all waivers and transactions end at the Week 12 Kick-off, which I really hate.
