In the show’s first episode, host Dave Collins is joined by Brian Burke, founder of AdvancedNFLStats.com, to talk about his background and why he began researching the NFL. Brian breaks down some of his most powerful metrics, and provides context into the current state of pro football data analysis. They also preview some early season trends, and try to figure out just how bad the Jaguars really are.

THANK YOU!!!
Awesome! Been waiting for something like this!
Brian/Dave -
I'm assuming this will be a weekly podcast?
Yes the plan is to interview a new guest each week. The itunes link is now live so make sure to subscribe so you don't miss an episode!

The recording quality needs to be improved, it's too tinny.
The sound quality of Brian's speech is poor, meaning tinny and echos, and not easy to hear, compared to the interviewer.
Maybe you can record at a slightly higher bit rate?
That's my cheap mic, not bit rate. But you're right, and it's something we'll try to improve.
Good stuff! Can't wait for the next weeks piece!
Bit rate won't solve the issue of high frequency reverb and comb filtering. Bit rate will only affect signal to noise ratio: the amount of hiss.
The best ways to control the high freq reverb and comb filtering will be to use a directional microphone (some version of cardioid pattern) and some sound dampening materials at first reflection points. You need to tame the high frequencies that bounce off all the rigid structures around your room. Something as sole as hanging blankets around you will help.
